Two routes
Should you match at random or call someone you picked?
Match at random when you are open to anyone, and pick when you already know what you are in the mood for. Both routes end in the same private call for two; the difference is only who does the choosing.
Random matching is the fast lane. Tap start, say yes to the camera and microphone prompts, and Mixu puts you together with one person who is free right then. Who comes next is unknown, and that is half the fun. If it clicks, stay. If it does not, tap next and someone new appears.
Picking is the slow lane. Open Who's online, look through the faces and open a profile. From the profile you can ring that person on video or write to them first. Take as long as you like over it; nothing rings until you tap the video call button.
Random match or a call you chose | Random match | Who's online |
|---|
| How it starts | One tap on start | You go to a profile and press its video call button |
| Who you meet | Any person who is free at that instant | Someone whose photo you liked |
| Can you look first? | No, that is the point | Yes: the photos and details on their profile |
| Best for | Spontaneous moods | When you know what you are after |
| If it is not a fit | Tap next | End the call and choose again |
You are not locked into one route. Many people start with a few random matches, follow the ones they liked, and call those people by name from then on.
