Mixu Privacy Policy

straight talk, no legalese

Privacy Policy

Mixu at mixu.cam connects two adults on a private call. Running that takes a small amount of information. This page names all of it, explains the purpose in ordinary words, and tells you how to remove it.

01 The information involved

Nothing below is collected for its own sake; every entry is tied to a feature that needs it:

  • Session basics: a guest identifier made when you arrive, any sign-in method you choose to attach afterwards, a nickname, your language and your confirmation that you are an adult.
  • Profile details you decide to add, such as a photo or a short line of text, and the list of people you follow.
  • Written messages exchanged with the people you talk to.
  • Call logs: the start time, which mode was used (camera, voice or typing) and an approximate duration.
  • Coin purchases and the receipt returned by the payment processor. Your card details go to that processor directly; our systems never see them.
  • Reports, whether sent by you or concerning you, along with the outcome.
  • Technical signals such as IP, browser and OS versions and crash traces, which help us fix bugs and block abuse.

02 What is kept about a call

Picture and sound move between the two people on a call as it happens. The call log described above (start time, mode and approximate duration) is what this policy lists for a call, together with anything you submit alongside a report. Remember that whoever you are speaking with controls their own device and might capture what is on their screen, so treat the camera like a window, not a diary.

03 What each item is for

  • Matching you with someone and keeping the call connected.
  • Remembering free calls, rewards and coin balance between visits.
  • Showing message history with people you follow.
  • Looking into reports and closing rule-breaking accounts.
  • Finding out why something crashed on a particular phone or browser.
  • Meeting legal duties, for example answering a valid court order.

04 Other companies in the loop

A few suppliers handle pieces of the service for us: servers and content delivery, payment processing, sign-in providers if you attach one, and basic audience measurement. None of them is handed more than the task in question calls for. We do not sell personal data, and no advertiser receives a list of who uses Mixu.

05 Retention

Guest sessions that go unused expire. Account data stays while the account is active. Tax and bookkeeping law sets how long purchase data must stay. Report files are kept long enough to recognise repeat offenders. Once a deletion request is confirmed, we erase what the law lets us erase.

06 Your choices

  • Your browser holds the camera and mic permissions, and you may revoke them whenever you wish.
  • Profile fields can be edited or cleared in settings.
  • For a data export or to have the account removed, write to [email protected] using the email on file, or quote your user ID.
  • Residents of regions with data protection laws may also object to processing or ask for corrections through the same address.

07 Eighteen and over

Mixu is built for adults. We do not knowingly keep information about anyone under 18. Suspect someone underage is on the site? Let us know; the account gets closed and its data erased.
