Mixu safety tips: staying comfortable on every call

Check your background, your name and your profile photo. These three are the things a stranger learns about you before you have said a word, and all three are yours to set.

Keep back anything that lets someone find you outside the call. City is fine; street is not. Job field is fine; employer is not. Nobody decent will push for more than you offer, and if someone does push, that tells you what you need to know.

Stay on Mixu for the conversation. If you want to keep in touch, follow the person and message them from their profile. Requests to move straight to another messenger usually have a reason behind them, and it is rarely a good one.

Remember that the other person has their own screen. Anything you show on camera can be captured from their side, so keep to things you would not mind turning up again later.

You will find next on the call screen. Block and report live in two places: that same screen and the profile of the person concerned. You do not need to explain yourself to use any of them. They are there to be used.

End the call and report it. The request may arrive as an emergency, a travel ticket, a crypto tip or a gift card. The story changes; the pattern does not. Real people who met you ten minutes ago do not need your money.
